Dimitris Barnias has compiled sounds for the Breaking the Patterns project, supporting two artworks created for the exhibition “Ports/Λιμάνια”.

Biography
As a PhD candidate at the Department of Music Technology and Acoustics of ELMEPA, Dimitris Barnias researches musical systems based on algorithms of natural phenomena, environmental sounds and sound synthesis. At the same time, he is involved in free musical improvisation, which he approaches with hybrid electronic means. He has collaborated with artists from the fields of music, dance, theatre, video art, while his works have been presented at festivals in Greece and abroad. Since 2022, he has been an active member of the Hellenic Association of Electroacoustic Music Composers (ESSIM).
