Narrative

This series of portraits explores the emotions that surface before or after a significant journey — like migration, departure, or a major life change. The harbour, as a symbol, stands for that in-between space: a place of waiting, of choosing, of letting go or beginning again.
Drawn in water-soluble graphite, in black and white tones, the faces reflect quiet sadness, thoughtfulness, and the weight of transition. These are not portraits of specific people, but of feelings — the kind that rise when one stands at the edge of the known, facing the unknown.
Every gaze tells a story. Of what was. Of what might come next.
